Appearance
Gorrok is a towering male orc with russet skin the color of dried blood, a massive frame, and a latticework of poorly healed scars. A prominent scar runs from his left temple across his broken nose to the corner of his mouth, pulling his lip into a permanent half-snarl. His black eyes are deep-set and coldly intelligent. His hair is shorn close, and one pointed ear is missing a small piece. He wears battered dark steel plate armor etched with crude angular warding runes, oversized spiked pauldrons, reinforced gauntlets, and a fur-lined cloak fastened with an iron wolf clasp. A scarred greataxe rests across his back, while a curved sword and worn warhammer hang from his belt. Every movement is deliberate, measured, and heavy with command.
Mannerisms
Gorrok pauses before answering, as if weighing the tactical value of every word. He studies exits, weapons, and the hands of everyone nearby. When displeased, he rolls one shoulder to make the plates of his armor grind together. He never shouts unless issuing an order in battle.
Personality
Gorrok is controlled, observant, and brutally pragmatic. He rarely displays anger because he considers emotional outbursts a loss of authority. He respects competence regardless of species, but he is quick to discard anyone who proves unreliable. He treats every conversation as a negotiation and every battlefield as a problem to be solved.
Ideals
Order. The strong must impose structure upon the weak, or the world collapses into wasteful chaos. A harsh law that preserves survival is better than freedom that invites ruin.
Bonds
The encampment he conquered is his creation and his kingdom. He will sacrifice almost anything to preserve it, including allies, soldiers, and his own reputation. He also keeps the iron wolf clasp taken from the commander he killed, a reminder that every throne belongs to whoever has the strength to hold it.
Flaws
Gorrok cannot tolerate defiance, especially when it comes from someone he considers weaker or less competent. He sees mercy as a resource to be rationed, not a virtue, and his need to control every situation can turn useful allies into enemies. Deep down, he fears that without command, discipline, and constant proof of strength, he is nothing more than the disposable soldier he once was.
Quirks
Background
Gorrok was born among an orc warband that survived by following stronger armies into battle, serving first as scouts, then as shock troops, and finally as expendable labor. He learned early that strength without discipline was merely another form of weakness. While other warriors sought glory in reckless charges, Gorrok studied formations, supply lines, morale, and the quiet signs that revealed when an enemy was ready to break. His commanders noticed. They began placing him where failure was certain, and Gorrok made a habit of returning victorious, usually with fewer survivors than anyone expected. Years of campaigning transformed him from soldier into warlord. He seized control of a ruined frontier encampment after killing its previous commander in a formal challenge, then imposed order through strict rationing, ruthless punishment, and a clear system of rewards. Under Gorrok, the camp became difficult to attack and even harder to leave. He does not mistake loyalty for affection. His followers obey because he provides shelter, food, and victory, and because they know betrayal will be answered with absolute certainty. Now Gorrok travels beyond his domain to acquire weapons, wealth, and useful allies, intending to return with enough power to turn his encampment into a permanent fortress and himself into its unquestioned ruler.
