Appearance
Bob is a towering Red Dragonborn with scales the color of dried blood and deep crimson. He possesses heavy, muscular limbs and small, intelligent eyes that glow like hot coals. He wears battered chain mail that has been patched many times, and his longsword is always polished to a mirror finish despite his rugged clothing. A thick cloak of animal fur is draped over his shoulders, fastened by a silver clasp shaped like a mountain peak.
Mannerisms
Bob has a habit of narrowing his eyes and sniffing the air when he enters a new room. He speaks in a deep, gravelly voice and often uses metaphors involving the weather or predators.
Personality
Bob is a dragonborn of few words and much action. He finds the chatter of cities exhausting and prefers the rhythmic sounds of nature or the clash of steel. He is surprisingly patient, a trait honed by years of hunting in the wilderness, but once his mind is made up, he moves with the unstoppable momentum of a landslide.
Ideals
Nature. The natural world is more honest than any civilization. Logic and strategy are the tools of survival, and those who ignore them deserve their fate.
Bonds
I carry a scorched banner of my old clan. One day, I will find a way to rebuild our legacy in a place where the fire cannot reach.
Flaws
I am slow to trust those who live in luxury, often assuming they are weak or dishonest. I tend to ignore social niceties and can be unintentionally blunt.
Quirks
Background
Bob was born into the Verthisathurgiesh clan, a proud lineage known for their smiths and guardians. However, the rigidity of clan life felt like a cage to him. He spent his youth venturing farther and farther into the untamed peaks, learning to read the wind and the behavior of the mountain drakes. He became a self taught warrior, combining the formal martial arts of his people with the savage efficiency required to survive against beasts in the wild. When a volcanic eruption devastated his home valley, Bob was among the survivors, but the clan dispersed into the wind. He took to the life of a guide and mercenary, wandering the southern realms. His skills as a Battle Master were earned in the trenches of border wars and the silent battles of the mountain passes. He treats every combat like a hunt, carefully analyzing his prey before striking with overwhelming precision. Now, he travels not just for coin, but to find a purpose greater than survival. He carries a small bag of volcanic glass from his home as a reminder that everything, even the strongest mountains, can change in an instant.
“However, the rigidity of clan life felt like a cage to him.”
