Bonus action
- Bardic InspirationLevel 1
You can inspire others through stirring words or music. As a Bonus Action, you can give one creature within 60 feet a Bardic Inspiration die, a d8. Within 1 hour, the creature can add the die to one failed D20 Test. The creature can decide after rolling the D20 but before knowing whether the roll succeeds or fails. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, minimum once, and regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Reaction
- College of Lore: Cutting WordsLevel 3
When a creature you can see within 60 feet succeeds on a D20 Test, you can use your Reaction and expend one use of Bardic Inspiration to subtract the number rolled on the Bardic Inspiration die from the roll, potentially turning the success into a failure.

Appearance
Luis Bardoni is a broad-shouldered halfling with sun-browned skin, bright hazel eyes, and thick dark curls usually tied beneath a faded blue headscarf. His traveling clothes are carefully mended but brightly colored, with a silver holy symbol sewn inside his vest and a battered lute slung across his back. His hands are callused from swordplay, writing, and years of helping maintain temple instruments.
Mannerisms
Luis taps out quiet rhythms on nearby surfaces when thinking. He unconsciously blesses meals by humming the first four notes of an old temple hymn, then pretends the tune was merely stuck in his head.
Personality
Warm, irreverent, and relentlessly curious, Luis treats strangers as friends who have not yet heard the right song. He prefers clever compassion to rigid doctrine and is happiest when a tense room can be turned into a shared audience. Beneath his easy grin is a serious scholar who remembers every name, debt, betrayal, and half-forgotten legend.
Ideals
Mercy. Every person deserves one more chance to choose a better road, and music can remind them that such a road exists.
Bonds
The roadside temple that raised Luis is struggling to survive, and he sends every spare coin and useful relic back home. He also carries a prayer book belonging to his vanished mentor, whose final entry claims that an ancient hymn can calm a war before it begins.
Flaws
Luis cannot resist correcting a historical inaccuracy, even when doing so would be tactically foolish. He also masks insecurity with cheerfulness and sometimes makes promises before considering whether he can keep them.
Quirks
Background
Luis was raised in a small halfling temple dedicated to the open road, where hymns were used to mark the hours and every visiting pilgrim was treated as kin. He was never a gifted theologian. His Charisma was unimpressive, his prayers often wandered, and his singing voice was better suited to taverns than sanctuaries. What Luis possessed instead was stubborn strength, a sharp memory, and an instinct for finding the one story that could make a frightened person feel brave. The temple elders eventually encouraged him to study music, history, and the old epics, hoping he might become a traveling keeper of faith rather than a traditional priest.
