Appearance
Xenon is a lean human man with quick, restless hands, a sharp inquisitive gaze, and ink-stained fingers that never seem to stay clean for long. He wears practical robes layered with travel-worn sashes and pockets full of notes, charms, and scrap parchment. His dark hair is usually half-tamed, and his expression suggests he is always one question ahead of everyone else.
Mannerisms
He speaks with his hands, tracing invisible diagrams in the air when explaining a theory. When excited, he mutters fragments of formulas under his breath and adjusts his sleeves before casting. He tends to pause dramatically before answering, as if every reply deserves a little ceremony.
Personality
Curious, lively, and a little contrarian, Xenon is the sort of scholar who would rather test a dangerous theory than admire it from a safe distance. He is generous with insight, impatient with pretension, and delighted by absurd solutions that still happen to work.
Ideals
Truth should be pursued wherever it hides, and power must be tempered by compassion. A fact is valuable only if it helps someone live better, freer, or wiser.
Bonds
He owes his first master a debt of gratitude and unresolved defiance, and he intends to repay both with one great discovery. He also guards a weathered spellbook annotated by his late mentor, the one person who believed Xenon could become more than a curiosity.
Flaws
He cannot resist correcting a false statement, even when silence would be wiser. When his curiosity is piqued, he will chase the answer first and worry about consequences later. He also trusts cleverness a little too much, and underestimates how often honest people simply need a direct answer.

Background
Xenon was raised in a modest human household that prized work, faith, and practical skill, but he found his true life among old shelves and older arguments. As a child, he learned that the world could be reduced to patterns, symbols, and hidden causes, and that a well-placed question could be more dangerous than a sword. His talent for study won him an apprenticeship under a reclusive master of wizardry, where he discovered not only the structure of magic, but also the thrill of bending it to solve problems no priest, merchant, or magistrate could explain. He left the academy before the faculty could decide whether to call him gifted or insufferable. Xenon believes knowledge should be used, not hoarded, and his chaotic good nature drives him to smuggle forbidden truths to the desperate, embarrass the arrogant, and unravel secrets that powerful people would rather keep buried. He still keeps meticulous notes, but now they are scrawled in taverns, crypts, and ruined observatories as often as they are copied in a library. He travels because the world is too interesting to remain in one archive, and because somewhere out there is a mystery that will finally prove his theories right.
