Appearance
Ketrika is a striking half-elf woman with warm bronze skin, pointed ears, storm-gray eyes, and thick black hair worn in a loose braid threaded with bits of pale birch bark. She has a notably full, curving figure, especially through the waist and chest, and carries herself with the guarded balance of someone accustomed to uneven forest ground. Her clothing is practical but deliberately revealing, consisting of a deep green halter-style leather top, a split overskirt over fitted trousers, tall boots, and a ragged russet cloak fastened beneath one shoulder. Thin silver runes shimmer across her collarbones whenever her magic stirs.
Mannerisms
Ketrika tilts her head as though listening to distant birds, even indoors. She touches the obsidian star before making difficult decisions, pauses before saying the word god, and tends to stand with one shoulder angled toward the nearest exit.
Personality
Ketrika is observant, blunt, and quietly compassionate. She speaks to animals before speaking to strangers, dislikes being touched without warning, and treats every unfamiliar road as if it might be watching her. Beneath her suspicion is an intense curiosity about ordinary life, especially markets, music, cooking, and the complicated reasons people choose to stay together.
Ideals
Freedom. Magic belongs to no throne, temple, bloodline, or master. It should answer to the person brave enough to wield it responsibly.
Bonds
I carry the cracked obsidian star given to me by the Quiet Constellation, and I will uncover what they meant by the buried sky. I also protect lost travelers whenever I can, because no one should have to endure the forest alone.
Flaws
I distrust organized temples and assume every priest wants to claim ownership of the powers that trained me. When frightened, I can become secretive, evasive, and dangerously willing to follow supernatural instructions without questioning their cost.

Background
Ketrika Vezgati was eleven when she wandered away from a caravan trail and became lost in the cedar forests of the northern marches. She survived three nights beneath a stone shelf, drinking rainwater and eating bitter roots, until a circle of blue fire appeared between the trees. The beings who stepped from it called themselves the Quiet Constellation, divine patrons revered by scattered sorcerous lineages. They were not gods in the way temple priests described gods, but ancient powers who cultivated magic in mortal blood. They found that Ketrika's presence calmed the wild magic around their shrine, and they took her in rather than allow the forest to consume her. For sixteen years, Ketrika was taught beneath the roots of an enormous silver fir. Her lessons were strange, practical, and often dangerous. She learned to read magic in bird flight, to shape thunder through a clenched fist, and to recognize the difference between a blessing and a command. When the Quiet Constellation finally sent her away, they gave her no explanation, only a cracked obsidian star and an instruction, find the place where the sky has been buried. Ketrika now travels between villages and old roads, searching for that place while trying to decide whether her patrons raised her as a favored student, a messenger, or a living key.
