Appearance
A broad-shouldered bronze dragonborn with burnished copper scales, pale blue eyes, and a pair of short, swept-back horns. Old travel scars cross the left side of the jaw and forearms. He wears battered chain mail beneath a weather-stained green cloak, carries a polished longsword and a round wooden shield, and keeps a small animal tooth tied to one horn as a reminder of home.
Mannerisms
Kavros frequently tilts his head toward distant sounds before answering a question. He checks the wind whenever he leaves a building, rests one hand on his shield strap when meeting strangers, and speaks of roads and rivers as though they are old acquaintances.
Personality
Quietly observant and patient, Kavros prefers listening to boasting. He is protective toward travelers and outsiders, fascinated by unfamiliar customs, and unexpectedly gentle with animals. Once he accepts someone as part of his circle, his loyalty becomes fierce and dependable.
Ideals
Freedom. No one should be trapped by borders, tyrants, or fear. The open road belongs to everyone willing to respect it.
Bonds
I will find the raiders who destroyed my clan's camp, and I will make sure they can never threaten another wandering people.
Flaws
I am slow to trust settled folk and can become stubborn when someone dismisses wilderness knowledge. I also pursue old grudges long after wiser people would let them go.
Quirks
Background
Kavros was raised among a scattered clan of bronze dragonborn who followed the coastlines, river valleys, and storm paths of the wild frontier. His people taught him that every landscape had a voice, from the warning hiss of rain on dry grass to the distant thunder that announced a dangerous crossing. He learned to hunt, forage, read tracks, and navigate by stars before he could properly wield a sword. His draconic heritage manifested in a crackling breath of lightning, which the elders regarded as both a blessing and a responsibility. When raiders burned one of the clan's seasonal camps, Kavros stayed behind long enough to defend the wounded and guide the survivors through a flooded canyon. His courage earned him the respect of traveling mercenaries who later trained him in disciplined shield work and battlefield tactics. Now he travels beyond the frontier, searching for the raiders who destroyed his home while protecting wanderers, refugees, and isolated settlements along the way. He considers every road a lesson, every stranger a possible ally, and every storm a message from the ancestors.
“He learned to hunt, forage, read tracks, and navigate by stars before he could properly wield a sword.”
