Appearance
Aurelia is a statuesque drow woman with obsidian skin, waist-length silver-white hair, and luminous violet eyes. Her features are refined and aristocratic, softened only by the faint scar crossing her left eyebrow. She wears fitted black leather armor beneath a dark crimson half-cloak bearing the silver spider sigil of House Malice. A slender sabre hangs at her hip, its guard shaped like two interlocking spider legs. Her movements are graceful, deliberate, and utterly controlled.
Mannerisms
Aurelia speaks softly enough that others must lean toward her. She pauses before answering questions, as if consulting an unseen witness, and touches her sabre's guard whenever she hears a religious claim she considers suspicious.
Personality
Aurelia is poised, incisive, and unnervingly courteous. She treats every conversation as an investigation and every compliment as possible testimony. Her aristocratic confidence is genuine, but beneath it lies a restless fear that her prophetic gift is being shaped by someone else. She respects discipline, competence, and people who can maintain their composure under pressure.
Ideals
Purity. False doctrine is a disease, and society survives only when someone has the courage to cut it out, even when the infected wear crowns.
Bonds
House Malice gave me power, status, and purpose. I will protect its name until I uncover the truth behind the visions that made me its chosen prophet.
Flaws
I cannot tolerate being publicly contradicted, especially by someone I consider socially inferior. When my certainty cracks, I become colder and more dangerous rather than admitting doubt.

Background
Aurelia Malice was born beneath the vaulted obsidian halls of House Malice, the first child of a dynasty that measured affection in political usefulness and faith in the number of enemies sacrificed to Lolth. From infancy, priests declared that the spider goddess had marked Aurelia as a prophet. Her visions began as fragmented dreams of silk, blood, and distant footsteps in the dark. By adolescence, House Malice had transformed those visions into a weapon, presenting Aurelia as both a sacred oracle and an elegant instrument of judgment. Rather than becoming a temple-bound seer, Aurelia demanded the authority to investigate heresy personally. She learned to read old legal codes, interrogate courtiers, and wield a sabre with the same precision she used to deliver a prophecy. Her first official inquisition ended with the exposure of a rival priesthood that had falsified divine omens, but Aurelia discovered evidence suggesting that some of her own visions were being manipulated by the matrons of House Malice. Now she travels beyond the Underdark under the guise of a noble envoy, hunting heretics, forbidden cults, and any hidden hand that may be using her connection to Lolth for its own designs. She remains loyal to her house in public, but every investigation brings her closer to deciding whether obedience is truly the same thing as faith.
