Appearance
Dan has the wiry, athletic build of a master acrobat, though his most striking features are clearly inhuman. A thick, muscular dragon tail with obsidian scales extends from his lower back, twitching with his moods. His eyes are a piercing, unnatural yellow that glow faintly in the dark. He wears a suit of chitinous, midnight blue beetle armor that looks like a natural exoskeleton, fitting him perfectly without hindering his speed. He carries two curved sickles that resemble giant scorpion stingers strapped to his hips.
Mannerisms
Dan often tilts his head to the side when listening, as if tracking a sound no one else can hear. He rarely makes eye contact, instead focusing on a person's hands or belt.
Personality
Dan is fiercely independent and acts with the confidence of someone who has cheated death a thousand times. He speaks with a dry, cynical wit and has a habit of watching everyone from the shadows rather than engaging directly. Despite his lethal profession, he has a soft spot for children living on the streets, often leaving gold where they can find it without seeing him.
Ideals
Freedom. No person or law should ever be able to put a cage around a living thing.
Bonds
I will protect the children of the streets, for they are the only ones who truly understand the world.
Flaws
I am prone to taking unnecessary risks to prove that I am faster than my enemies.
Quirks
Background
Dan began his life in the lightless crawlspaces of a massive metropolis. As an urchin, he learned early on that his dragon heritage, a dormant curse or blessing in his blood, made him faster and more perceptive than the other street rats. His tail was a burden he had to hide until he realized it granted him a center of gravity that no human thief could match. He spent years mastering the art of the silent kill, eventually scavenging the remains of a legendary desert beetle to fashion his signature XO skeleton armor. This armor provides him with the perfect balance of protection and silence, a necessity for his high stakes lifestyle. He chose the twin scorpion sickles as his weapons because they mirrored the predatory nature of his draconic soul. Throughout his journey to level twenty, he has transitioned from a simple thief to a legendary assassin. He now operates outside the laws of men, guided only by his personal code and the chaotic whims of a man who has seen the world from both its lowest gutters and its highest spires. His dragon blood continues to call to him, a constant reminder that he is something more than human, destined for a path of blood and shadows.
