Appearance
A pale half-elf with long, luxuriant ginger curls, luminous violet eyes, and an ivory complexion that seems almost bloodless beneath candlelight. She dresses in sharply tailored black and crimson layers, favoring structured corsets, high collars, fitted leather, and antique gold accessories. Her lips are naturally dark rose, and her nails are kept long and polished like small garnets. She moves with a slow, balanced glide, rarely wasting a gesture, yet she favors her left side when standing still, as though always making room for someone unseen. Her most noticeable feature is the contrast between her delicate, courtly presentation and the faintly predatory stillness of her attention.
Mannerisms
Seshatha speaks softly enough that others lean toward her, then makes them wait a heartbeat before answering. She adjusts her gold rings when lying, tilts her head toward sounds no one else can hear, and addresses inanimate objects with formal courtesy. She never bares her teeth in a broad smile, preferring a small, knowing curve of the lips.
Personality
Seshatha is poised, observant, and deeply theatrical without being frivolous. She treats every conversation as a negotiation of masks, studying what people want to be seen as before deciding which version of herself will be most useful. Beneath her elegant reserve is a fierce curiosity and a surprisingly tender instinct toward outsiders, frauds, exiles, and anyone accused of being monstrous before they have had the chance to speak.
Ideals
Identity is a garment. Anyone can become noble, monstrous, holy, or damned if they wear the role convincingly enough. She intends to choose her final role rather than inherit it.
Bonds
She carries the antiquarian's gold signet ring and will risk almost anything to discover whether he was murdered, transformed, or willingly became something inhuman.
Flaws
She cannot resist improving a lie, even when the truth would serve her better. When frightened, she becomes theatrically composed and may continue manipulating others long after the danger has passed. She is also secretly terrified that her patron's voice is not an external entity at all, but the truest part of herself.

Background
Seshatha Vey was raised in a decaying river estate where her half-elven mother served as a seamstress for minor nobility and her human father sold devotional relics of questionable authenticity. As a child, Seshatha learned that appearances were currencies. She could turn a torn dress into a noblewoman's mourning gown, a brass button into a family heirloom, and a carefully chosen silence into a confession. Her pale skin and violet eyes made her a subject of whispered superstition, especially after a fever left her cold to the touch for three days. The household began calling her the little vampire, first as a joke, then with fear. Her talent for deception eventually attracted the attention of a traveling antiquarian who claimed to collect forbidden family histories. He was, in truth, a servant of a distant Great Old One, and his curiosities included Seshatha's recurring dreams of a crimson moon hanging beneath the sea. When the antiquarian vanished, Seshatha inherited his journal, his false papers, and a voice that speaks from the edges of her thoughts. The voice offers knowledge in exchange for small acts of remembrance, such as carving unfamiliar names into wax or leaving a glass of wine beneath the stars. Seshatha now travels as a refined fraud and occult investigator, searching for the truth behind her supposed vampiric inheritance while quietly wondering whether the thing whispering to her is protecting her, possessing her, or simply waiting for her to become interesting.
