Appearance

Urazak is an imposing six foot five inch Orc with sunbaked leather-like skin. His massive frame is heavily muscled, marked with old scars from his years in the desert and the pits. His eyes are a striking, pale predator yellow. He wears simple but rugged leather breeches and a thick vest made of cured hide. His hands are enormous and calloused. By his side pads Koth, a giant black dire wolf with matching yellow eyes.

Mannerisms

Urazak communicates largely through subtle shifts in weight and intense, unblinking stares. He often grunts in place of 'yes' or 'no' and tends to stand completely still for hours.

Personality

Stoic and observant, Urazak speaks very little, preferring the company of beasts to men. He has the patience of a farmer and the cold efficiency of an executioner. He does not seek conflict but handles it with a terrifying, precise finality. He believes that respect is earned through strength and discipline, and he treats his animals with more tenderness than he does himself.

Ideals

Endurance. The desert takes the weak, but the strong remain like the stone. Life is a cycle of growth and harvest.

Bonds

Koth is more than a tool, he is a piece of home. I owe my current life to Ripley and the Shroud Syndicate for giving me a purpose.

Flaws

I trust instincts over laws. My silence is often mistaken for stupidity, and I have forgotten how to feel mercy for those who lack the strength to survive.

Quirks

Checks the wind direction whenever he enters a room.
Refuses to sleep in a bed, preferring the dirt floor with his hound.
Always carries a small pouch of desert sand from his old farm.

Background

Born in the dunes of Desertstone, Urazak was raised to be a farmer on land that hated life. He learned the quiet patience of waiting for crops in the dust and the resilience needed to survive sandstorms that claimed his father and his home. Left with nothing but his massive strength, he wandered into the city pits, trading blood for gold. His path crossed with the Shroud Syndicate when he was discovered as a natural beast-tamer, capable of breaking the wildest monsters with his bare hands. Now serving as the Syndicate's Beastmaster, he uses the lessons of the desert to keep the city's underbelly in line. He remains a man of the soil at heart, viewing the criminals and debtors he handles as just another crop to be harvested or weeds to be pulled from his mistress's garden. His loyal hound Koth is his only true confidant, a reflection of the desert's savage beauty that Urazak can never truly leave behind.
