Appearance
Juliette de Sorell is a young Bretonic noblewoman with high cheekbones, slightly pointed ears, and curly blonde hair that she often pins back with practical elegance. A strange elder cross, a hexblood mark shaped like a crown of leaves and berries, rests upon her brow like a living diadem. She dresses with a deliberate blend of courtly grace and travel-ready ease, loose trousers, a lilac blouse, a dark leather doublet, fine riding boots, and a short dueling caplet bearing the seal of House Sorell, a fleur-de-lis and a rose. Her green eyes shift in color with her mood, which makes her charming in person and dangerously transparent when she is trying to lie. She carries herself like a sword at rest, polished, poised, and ready to strike.
Mannerisms
She smiles before a risky move, as if she has already decided the outcome. When anxious, she smooths the cuff of her blouse or touches the mark on her brow. In conversation she tilts her head slightly, studying people as though they are chess problems she intends to solve politely.
Personality
Juliette is polished, quick-witted, and disarmingly courteous, with the survival instincts of a hunted animal and the poise of a court duelist. She prefers elegance to brute force, but she is not fragile, and she never forgets a slight. Beneath her composed exterior is a fierce protectiveness, a dry sense of humor, and a habit of turning pain into wit before anyone else can weaponize it.
Ideals
Dignity. Nobility should mean responsibility, not entitlement. I was given power, station, and strange blood, so I will use them to protect those who would otherwise be prey. I believe charm is a blade, mercy is a choice, and a promise is sacred.
Bonds
My father's protection was a vow, and though he is flawed, I will not let that sacrifice be dishonored. I carry the seal of House Sorell and the memory of the tree that tied my life to his. I also keep a token of my fey heritage, a small reminder that I belong to more than one world.
Flaws
I struggle to lie convincingly, because my eyes betray my feelings before my tongue can. I can become dangerously sharp when I sense cruelty or condescension, especially from other nobles. I sometimes confuse being graceful with being untouchable, and I keep too many wounds hidden until they force me to stop.

Background
Juliette de Sorell was born under a bargain no child should ever inherit. Her father, Raphael Sorell, Duke of Rouen, was no ordinary nobleman, but a fey wanderer who made a pact with the hidden powers of the wild. In answer to that pact, the fey gave him a daughter, and he swore he would always protect her. He did, with fierce devotion, until Amelia de Papiluon entered his life. Amelia became the center of his attention and Juliette learned early that affection in noble houses can curdle into cruelty. Love was scarce, approval rarer still, and Juliette survived by becoming clever, graceful, and impossible to corner. She was taught to move through court like a dancer moving through a knife fight. Tutors drilled her in etiquette, medicine, and lineage, while fencing masters taught her the duelist's art and the street fighter's answer to it. When she fell grievously ill, her father bound her life to a tree in his garden, both penance and protection, and the strange hex-blood magic in her veins began to bloom. She learned to vanish in a blink, to mark a token of her own making and see through it, to whisper across distance, and to turn fey grace into a blade's edge. Now she walks between salons and shadows as a swashbuckler of the old court, a woman of fine birth, hard lessons, and a smile that can disarm kings.
