Appearance
A slender half-elf with copper-fair skin, amber eyes, and long dark hair braided with tiny brass prayer seals. Their draconic blood shows in faint scale-like freckles along the collarbones and a subtle warmth that shimmers at the edges of their fingertips. They dress in layered travel robes over tidy acolyte vestments, with a holy symbol worn beside a small arcane focus, and their posture is careful, reverent, and alert.
Mannerisms
Speaks softly before casting, as if reciting a blessing, then inhales sharply when the magic answers. They touch their holy symbol when uncertain, and unconsciously align objects, candles, or books into neat rows.
Personality
Patient, observant, and unexpectedly warm, Elion listens longer than most people expect and remembers small details others overlook. They are devout without being rigid, curious without being reckless, and tend to meet fear with calm, practical kindness.
Ideals
Compassion. Power is only righteous when it protects the vulnerable, and every gift should be used in service of mercy.
Bonds
I still carry the prayer book that belonged to the mentor who first told me my gifts were not a sin. I will not let the weak be abandoned the way too many were abandoned in the streets outside my temple.
Flaws
I hesitate when my instincts and my prayers point in opposite directions, afraid that trusting myself is the first step toward becoming something dangerous. When challenged, I can grow quietly defensive and stubborn, as if certainty alone could keep doubt from touching me.

Background
Elion Veyr was born between two worlds, to an elven mother who kept careful temple accounts and a human father whose lineage was whispered to have once carried dragonfire in its blood. In the monastery-city of Asterhold, Elion was raised among incense smoke, ledger tablets, and morning chants. The priests quickly realized that prayer around the child did not merely echo, it answered. Candles leaned toward Elion, heated air gathered in their palm, and once, in a fit of fear, a rusted brazier burst into bright blue flame. The elders called it a blessing. Elion called it terrifying. As an acolyte, Elion learned that faith was not only devotion, but discipline, service, and the stubborn act of remaining gentle in a hard world. Yet the temple could not explain why divine hymns made their magic stronger while their own lineage seemed to hum beneath the skin like a second heartbeat. Rather than fear the mystery, Elion studied it. They copied scripture by day and practiced controlled sparks by candlelight at night, convinced that the gods had not made a mistake, only a very specific instrument. When a pilgrimage outside the city revealed how often common people were ignored by the powerful, Elion left the cloister with a holy symbol at the throat and sorcerous fire in the blood, determined to become both blessing and safeguard to those who had none.
