Appearance
Nora is a fit, fair-skinned human woman with bright blue eyes, flushed cheeks, and long blonde hair that rarely remains neatly tied for long. She has a strong, curving build and an energetic, unpolished presence. She wears practical modern clothes, sturdy boots, fitted trousers, and a loose shirt, with a small silver holy symbol tucked beneath the collar. She carries no armor or weapons, relying on divine magic, quick thinking, and sheer momentum.
Mannerisms
Nora speaks quickly when excited and begins pacing whenever she explains magical theory. She pushes loose blonde hair out of her eyes with the back of her wrist, taps her holy symbol when thinking, and gives formal noble bows even when covered in dust.
Personality
Nora is warm, curious, and startlingly energetic for someone raised in formal noble society. She treats obscure magical phenomena like gossip, ordinary people like honored guests, and social decorum as a problem that can be solved by apologizing very sincerely afterward. She has a genuine gift for making frightened people feel noticed, though she often talks over them while trying to help.
Ideals
Knowledge should protect the powerless, not decorate the libraries of the privileged. Every dangerous secret deserves a responsible keeper.
Bonds
The Seshathi family archive contains a missing volume that Nora believes holds the key to the disaster that first awakened her divine power. She will risk almost anything to recover it before someone uses its secrets to hurt innocent people.
Flaws
Nora is constitutionally incapable of leaving a mystery alone, even when solving it is dangerous, rude, or catastrophically inconvenient. She is also quick to assume that a person who speaks confidently must understand what they are talking about, and she hates admitting when she is frightened.
Quirks
Background
Nora Seshathi was born into a respected human family whose wealth came from maintaining libraries, observatories, and private schools for the nobility. Her childhood was filled with tutors, formal dinners, and lessons in etiquette, but she was always more interested in the strange phenomena that occurred around old books and family relics. A sealed brass astrolabe once whispered her name when she touched it, and the experience left her convinced that knowledge was not merely something to possess. It was something that possessed you in return. She entered the service of a quiet god of mysteries and hidden laws after an arcane accident nearly destroyed her family archive. Nora survived by instinctively shaping a protective ward, and the event revealed her talent for blending divine power with arcane theory. As an Arcana cleric, she now travels beyond the polished halls of her upbringing, investigating magical disturbances, recovering dangerous texts, and helping ordinary people harmed by reckless spellcraft. She still has the bearing of a noblewoman, but her current life is decidedly less dignified. She arrives breathless, disheveled, and late, usually because she ran all the way rather than admit she had lost track of time while reading.
