Features
36 featuresAction
- CountercharmLevel 6
You can counter and disrupt hostile performances, charm effects, and fear with music and presence. As an action, you and allies within 30 feet have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed for 1 minute.
- Extra AttackLevel 5
You can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Bonus action
- One-Two Punch
When Bonus action
Spend Moxie to make two unarmed strikes as a bonus action.
- Bardic InspirationLevel 1
You can inspire others through stirring words or music. As a bonus action, choose one creature other than yourself within 60 feet that can hear you. It gains one Bardic Inspiration die, a d12, which it can add to an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw within 10 minutes. You have 5 uses, and you regain all uses on a long rest.
- FisticuffsLevel 1
Your years of fighting in back alleys and taverns have given you mastery over combat styles that use unarmed strikes and pugilist weapons. While unarmed or wielding only pugilist weapons and wearing light or no armor and not using a shield, you can make a bonus action unarmed strike, your unarmed strikes and pugilist weapons use a Fisticuffs die, and improvised weapons count as having the Sap mastery property for you.
- Dig DeepLevel 4
As a bonus action, you can dig deep. For 10 minutes, you have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage and ignore exhaustion levels below 6. After using this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest unless you gain 1 exhaustion level to restore it.
Reaction
- Bloodied But UnbowedLevel 2
When you take damage, you can use your reaction to regain all expended Moxie Points. If you are bloodied when you do so, you also gain temporary hit points equal to four times your pugilist level. This can be used once per short or long rest.

- Mantle of InspirationLevel 3

- SpellcastingLevel 1
You know two bard cantrips and 15 bard spells of 1st level or higher, with 5th-level spell slots and spell levels up to 7th. Charisma is your spellcasting ability.
- ExpertiseLevel 3
Choose two of your skill proficiencies. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of the chosen proficiencies.
- Song of RestLevel 2
You can use a musical performance or speech to help keep wounded allies on their feet. During a short rest, each friendly creature who can hear you regains extra hit points equal to one Bardic Inspiration die plus your Charisma modifier.
- Font of InspirationLevel 5
You can grant inspiration more easily. You regain all expended uses of Bardic Inspiration when you finish a short or long rest.
- Magical SecretsLevel 10

- Magical SecretsLevel 14
At 14th level, you learn two more spells from any class. They count as bard spells for you.
- Peerless SkillLevel 14
When you make an ability check and fail, you can use Bardic Inspiration to add the die to the roll after seeing the d20, potentially turning failure into success.
- Superior InspirationLevel 20
You regain one use of Bardic Inspiration when you roll initiative and have no uses left.
- Iron ChinLevel 1
While you are wearing light or no armor and not wielding a shield, your Armor Class equals 12 plus your Constitution modifier.

- Bad AttitudeLevel 3
You gain proficiency in Intimidation. You also add your Strength modifier, minimum 1, as a bonus to Intimidation checks.
- Heavy HitterLevel 3
When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can also use the Grapple or Shove option as part of that hit.

Appearance
An attractive changeling woman in a modern high-fantasy look, with a sleek jet-black undercut, pale skin, black rings around her eyes like smudged eyeliner, deep black lipstick, and rich dark brown eyes flecked with amber. Her build is slim and feminine with an hourglass silhouette, and she wears a loose black tank top, black cargo pants, and black and white Converse sneakers. She moves like a stage star and a street fighter at once, equal parts glamour and threat.
Mannerisms
She speaks with the poise of a headliner and the menace of someone who has already won the argument in her head. She touches her lipstick or smooths the edge of her tank top when she is thinking, and when irritated she smiles too slowly, as if she is about to cue a spotlight. She favors close-range eye contact, a tilted chin, and a lazy, taunting sway that can turn into a sudden fighter's stance in half a breath.
Personality
Wry, magnetic, and razor-tongued, Vexa treats every room like it owes her stage time. She is at her best when the stakes are high and the audience is watching, because pressure sharpens her into a glittering, dangerous thing. She flirts with danger the way other people flirt with strangers, casually, knowingly, and with just enough sincerity to be confusing. Beneath the swagger is a meticulous survivor who keeps track of debts, exits, and the emotional weak points of everyone she meets.
Ideals
Freedom, performance, and self-authorship. No monarch, lover, contract, or audience gets to own her shape, her voice, or her future. She believes glamour is not deception, it is truth with the lights arranged correctly.
Bonds
She keeps a small bundle of faded calling cards, show flyers, and love notes from cities she will never visit again. One of them belongs to the person who taught her how to breathe through pain and grin through blood, and she will cross any line to keep that debt paid. She still carries a silver ring from her first real performance contract, not because it is valuable, but because it proves she once belonged to herself.
Flaws
She hates being told what her real face is supposed to be, and will sabotage any plan that tries to box her into a single identity. When someone praises her for being beautiful, she assumes they want something. When someone praises her for being useful, she trusts them too quickly. Under pressure, she defaults to cutting remarks and reckless bravado, even when honesty would serve her better.
Quirks
Background
Before she had a face she preferred, she was a rumor. Before she had a name worth remembering, she was a different silhouette in every city, a different smile in every room. As a changeling, she learned early that identity was a tool, a shield, and sometimes a cage. She grew into a performer because applause was honest in the moment, even when the people giving it were not. She learned to sing, to pose, to improvise, and to survive by being impossible to pin down. The stage became her first altar, and the crowd became the only family that never asked her to stay one shape for too long.
