Appearance
Si'vaanther is a six-foot-six tiefling with a broad, powerful frame shaped by years of military service and adventuring. His muted grey-blue skin is marked by countless old scars, some thin and silver, others deep and severe, though he carries them without embarrassment or explanation. A striking deep-blue tattoo begins around his right eye and spirals across the entire right side of his body. Long black hair streaked with vibrant sapphire falls down his back, gathered into several deliberate braids. His curved horns are dark at the base and fitted with polished gold-plated tips. His golden eyes are steady and intimidating, and he maintains his armor, weapons, hair, and horns with surprisingly exacting care. Before he speaks, he often pauses for one measured breath through his nose, as though deciding whether the truth is worth the trouble it will cause.
Mannerisms
He pauses before answering difficult questions, drawing a slow breath through his nose. He polishes the gold tips of his horns when irritated, cooks while thinking, and tends to stand too close during arguments without raising his voice. When amused, he gives a brief sideways smile that reveals he has already noticed the reaction he wanted.
Personality
Blunt, self-assured, and observant, Si'vaanther speaks with the directness of a veteran who has no patience for ornamental lies. He enjoys provoking people who rely too heavily on status, especially nobles who expect obedience without earning respect. Beneath his intimidating confidence is a patient, surprisingly gentle man who notices small details, remembers people's favorite foods, and finds genuine peace in gardening. He trusts slowly, but once trust is given, he treats it as a serious responsibility.
Ideals
Freedom. No title, bloodline, army, or prophecy gives one person the right to own another. People should be judged by what they do when obedience is no longer convenient.
Bonds
I owe my survival to the soldiers, travelers, and strangers who stood beside me when they had no reason to. I will not abandon those who place their trust in me, including Raen, whatever this arrangement becomes.
Flaws
I mistake confidence for correctness and would rather escalate an argument than admit I was wrong. I am suspicious of anyone who hides behind rank, ceremony, or polite language. When someone earns my affection, I become protective to the point of being overbearing, then pretend I am merely being practical.

Background
Si'vaanther was born into a tiefling family that learned early to survive by being useful, observant, and difficult to intimidate. He found his place in a disciplined military company, where his size and strength made him an obvious frontline fighter, while his endurance made him the one sent back into places everyone else had already abandoned. Service taught him formation fighting, patience under pressure, and the practical value of knowing exactly when to obey an order and when an order deserved to be ignored. His horns, unusual coloring, and infernal ancestry drew suspicion from strangers, but the battlefield eventually gave him a language most people understood. Competence earned him respect long before charm ever could. After leaving formal service, Si'vaanther became a wandering adventurer. He crossed continents, fought monsters, survived disasters, and accumulated scars instead of medals. He learned herbs from healers, recipes from camp cooks, languages from travelers, and gardening from anyone willing to give him a quiet patch of soil. During peaceful years, he cultivated flowers with the same concentration he once gave to battlefield tactics. When King Storm arranged his engagement to Raen, Si'vaanther accepted the political agreement with the enthusiasm of a man volunteering for execution. The arrangement was supposed to be practical and temporary. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Si'vaanther has never been particularly good at following plans, especially when those plans begin to matter to him.
“Competence earned him respect long before charm ever could.”
