Appearance
A compact, wiry air genasi with pale gray-blue skin and hair that lifts and stirs as if caught in a breeze no one else can feel. In a crowded room, Avo's attention keeps drifting to doorways, stairwells, and the gaps between people rather than to whoever is speaking. A small brass tuning fork hangs from a cord at the throat, its handle worn smooth where a thumb rubs it. Their clothes are practical and carefully mended, with a blue scarf that shifts in faint, restless currents.
Mannerisms
Avo turns their head slightly toward every doorway when someone enters, then taps a quiet rhythm against the brass tuning fork while listening. When they need a moment to think, they hum a few notes under their breath.
Personality
Avo is patient with frightened people and brisk with anyone who mistakes volume for authority. They have a dry, gentle humor and prefer to listen before taking a side, but once they choose one, they are difficult to dislodge.
Ideals
People deserve to hear the truth before someone powerful decides what they are allowed to know. A good song can carry truth farther than a shouted accusation.

Quirks
Background
Avo grew up among the drafty tenements near the old survey marker called Sixth Sigh, where a change in the wind could carry a watchman's whistle from one end of the ward to the other. Their mother, Eteri, repaired instruments and taught Avo to listen for the tiny flaws in a melody. Avo learned another kind of listening from Dato, a patient courier who used songs and street performances to pass messages past the city watch. The work paid for food, until one delivery carried proof that a local official had been selling names to debt collectors.
