Appearance
Balasar is a silver-scaled dragonborn of tall, rigid stature. His scales shimmer with a dull, matte finish, resembling weathered pewter more than bright silver. He wears a set of well-maintained but visibly aged chain mail. He keeps his noble fine clothes clean and folded in his pack, preferring the practical utility of his armor while on the road. His eyes are a piercing, icy blue that seem to analyze every situation with detachment.
Mannerisms
He has a habit of clasping his hands behind his back and rocking slightly on his heels while deep in thought.
Personality
I am guided by logic and historical precedent rather than the temporary whims of emotion. I believe that tradition is the anchor that keeps civilization from drifting into chaos, but I am pragmatic enough to know when a tradition has outlived its usefulness. I speak with a measured, deliberate pace, carefully choosing words that are precise and devoid of unnecessary flourish.
Ideals
Balance. The world is a complex machine that requires all parts to function, neither absolute light nor absolute shadow should prevail.
Bonds
My loyalty lies with the restoration of House Norixius to its rightful position as a pillar of stability.
Flaws
I often struggle to empathize with the suffering of individuals if their pain serves the greater stability of the region.

Background
Born into House Norixius, Balasar was raised on stories of the great silver dragons and the intricate legal codes of his ancestors. His family was once the primary stewards of the Northern Marches, serving as mediators between warring clans. However, a series of territorial disputes and a lack of martial aggression led to the family's decline in influence. While his siblings sought to reclaim their glory through conquest, Balasar turned to the study of law and the paladin's code, not out of holy zeal, but out of a desire to restore the balance of the realm. He believes that the gods are distant, and it is the responsibility of the enlightened nobility to maintain the natural order. His decision to take the path of a paladin was a logical conclusion to his education, he serves as a knight errant of the law. He travels now to observe the state of the world, gathering knowledge to one day reform his house and return it to its former role as a neutral arbiter. He views the conflict between good and evil as a systemic imbalance that must be managed, rather than a war to be won.
