Within a minute of meeting him, people notice his resonant, carefully controlled speaking voice and the way he occupies more room than he realizes by spreading books, scrolls, and writing materials across any available surface. When calm, he breathes slowly and speaks like a lecturer. When rattled, his breath catches between words and he begins whispering citations to himself.

Thaddeus is earnest, patient, and intensely curious. He listens to people with the same concentration he gives ancient manuscripts, often tilting his head and silently cataloging their words.
