Appearance
Eirawen is a lean, copper-red tiefling with swept-back black horns, deep wine-colored skin, and pale gold eyes that seem brighter when her magic stirs. Her hair is dark and loosely braided with small bits of bone, blue thread, and dried mountain flowers. She walks with a measured, slightly uphill-leaning gait, as if perpetually crossing uneven ground, and keeps her shoulders relaxed even when danger is near. Her hands are weathered from years outdoors, with short nails, cracked knuckles, and fingertips stained by charcoal, pine resin, and spell ink. She wears layered travel clothes beneath a faded green cloak, with a polished black stone tied at her throat.
Mannerisms
She pauses before answering questions, tilting her head as if listening to distant weather. When thinking, she rubs the black stone at her throat and quietly names nearby landmarks. She rarely sits with her back to an open doorway.
Personality
Eirawen is observant, self-reliant, and quietly warm once trust has been earned. She speaks plainly, notices practical details others miss, and has a dry sense of humor that appears most often during danger. She is fascinated by old roads, dragon legends, and the way magic behaves differently in different landscapes.
Ideals
Freedom. No road, ruler, bloodline, or prophecy owns a person. Everyone deserves the chance to choose where they go and what they become.
Bonds
The caravan that raised her is her true family, and she carries a small black stone from its abandoned winter camp. She will return one day to find the missing members of the caravan and learn why their trail ended so suddenly.
Flaws
Eirawen distrusts comfort and becomes irritable when confined indoors for too long. She is quick to assume that anyone offering easy kindness has an ulterior motive, and when frightened she sometimes uses dangerous magic before considering who else might be caught in it.
Quirks
Background
Eirawen was born among a scattered highland caravan that followed game trails, seasonal rivers, and the old roads between remote villages. Her tiefling blood made strangers wary, but the people of the caravan judged her by practical things: whether she could read the weather, share a fire, and bring everyone home. She learned to sleep lightly, move without disturbing scree, and recognize the difference between a fox cry and a warning whistle. The first signs of her sorcery came during a winter crossing, when fear sent a burst of blue-white fire racing across the snow and melted a path through an ice shelf without harming the people trapped behind it.
