Appearance
A human woman of striking runway-model stature, with russet hair, silvery-green eyes, high cheekbones, and full lips. She carries herself with polished military poise, softened by an easy, moonlit grace. Her shield bears the silver crescent and star of Selûne. She usually holds a warhammer in her right hand, while a longsword rests sheathed across her back. A narrow blue cord around her left wrist is worn smooth from constant handling.
Mannerisms
Mireva unconsciously checks the blue cord around her left wrist whenever she is worried, then squares her shoulders as if preparing for inspection. She speaks in a calm, measured tone even during danger, but her voice becomes unexpectedly gentle when addressing frightened animals or children.
Personality
Warm, candid, and alert, Mireva treats strangers as people who might need help before they become people who might cause trouble. She has a soldier's instinct for practical solutions and a paladin's refusal to abandon anyone simply because rescue is inconvenient. She enjoys beautiful clothes, polished armor, and the quiet drama of moonlit city streets, but she considers elegance a form of confidence rather than superiority.
Ideals
Freedom. No law, oath, commander, or god is honored by allowing the helpless to be crushed. Authority exists to protect people, and loses its legitimacy when it forgets them.
Bonds
Silverymoon is her home, and the Knights of the Gauntlet are the family she chose. She carries the names of every soldier and civilian lost on her first winter escort, written inside her shield strap. She is determined to keep the old shrine where Selûne answered her prayer from being forgotten or profaned.
Flaws
She distrusts institutions that confuse obedience with virtue, and her blunt refusal to follow an order she considers unjust can create enemies faster than it solves problems. She is also vain about appearing composed, so she may keep smiling and standing tall long after exhaustion or fear has become obvious to everyone else.
Quirks
Background
Mireva Saran was raised in Silverymoon by a family of cartographers who believed every road was a promise that someone might need to come home. She entered the city guard as soon as she reached adulthood, drawn less by discipline than by the simple certainty that frightened people deserved someone willing to stand between them and danger. Her years as a soldier taught her the practical arts of patrol, shield work, field medicine, and keeping watch through long, bitter nights beneath the northern stars. During a winter escort beyond the Moonwood, her company was trapped by creatures driven from their lair by a magical storm. Mireva held the line at a ruined shrine until dawn, praying to Selûne not for victory, but for enough light to find the wounded. Moonlight broke through the storm, revealing a safe path and guiding survivors home. She took the sign as a calling. Now a Knight of the Gauntlet in Silverymoon, she serves Selûne as a newly sworn paladin, protecting travelers, exposing cruelty, and insisting that freedom is worth defending even when it makes order inconvenient.
