- Prophecy Dice
When When a creature you can see within 60 feet makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw
You possess a number of Prophecy Dice equal to your proficiency bonus, normally 1 at level 1. They are d6s and refresh after a long rest. When a creature you can see within 60 feet makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you may spend one Prophecy Die as a reaction to add or subtract the result from the roll after the roll is made but before its outcome is determined. The creature must be able to perceive your warning or intervention unless the fiction makes that unnecessary.
Always on
- Hack and Slash
When When you attack an enemy in melee
When you attack an enemy in melee, roll+STR. On a 10+, you deal your damage to the enemy and avoid their attack. On a 7-9, you deal your damage and the enemy makes an attack against you.
- Volley
When When you take aim and shoot at an enemy at range
When you take aim and shoot at an enemy at range, roll+DEX. On a 10+, you deal your damage. On a 7-9, choose one: you must move to get the shot, you must take what you can get and deal -1d6 damage, or you must expose yourself to danger as the GM describes.
- Defy Danger
When When you act despite an imminent threat or suffer a calamity
When you act despite an imminent threat or suffer a calamity, say how you deal with it and roll the appropriate ability. On a 10+, you do what you set out to do. On a 7-9, you stumble, hesitate, or flinch, and the GM offers you a worse outcome, hard bargain, or ugly choice.
- Defend
When When you stand in defense of a person, item, or location
When you stand in defense of a person, item, or location, roll+CON. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. While you defend, when you or the thing you defend is attacked, spend hold to choose one: redirect the attack to yourself, halve the attack's effect or damage, open up the attacker to an ally, or deal damage to the attacker.
- Spout Lore
When When you consult your accumulated knowledge about something
When you consult your accumulated knowledge about something, roll+INT. On a 10+, the GM will tell you something interesting and useful about the subject. On a 7-9, the GM will only tell you something interesting. The GM may ask how you know this.
- Discern Realities
When When you closely study a person, situation, or location
When you closely study a person, situation, or location, roll+WIS. On a 10+, ask the GM three questions from the list. On a 7-9, ask one. Take +1 forward when acting on the answers: What happened here recently? What is about to happen? What should I be on the lookout for? What here is not what it appears to be? What is the true position of my enemy? Who is really in control?
- Parley
When When you have leverage on a character and manipulate them
When you have leverage on a character and manipulate them, roll+CHA. Leverage may be a promise, threat, or useful information. On a 10+, they do what you ask if you first assure them that you will follow through. On a 7-9, they choose one: do it but demand concrete assurance, do it but need immediate evidence, or refuse and tell you what would change their mind.
- Sight Beyond the Mist
When When you look at something concealed by the Mist or another supernatural deception
You can perceive through the Mist and recognize supernatural beings, divine signs, magical disguises, and impossible truths that ordinary mortals cannot see. When this hidden reality would provide useful information, the GM may reveal what Rachel perceives or ask her what she sees.
- Prophetic Spellcasting
When When you invoke a prepared oracle spell through a vision, prayer, or prophetic sign
You gain spellcasting using Wisdom as your spellcasting ability. At the beginning of each day, prepare a small selection of oracle prayers and divinations from the GM's oracle list. When you cast a prepared oracle spell, describe the prophetic sign, prayer, or vision that empowers it, then follow the spell's requirements and effects. Oracle magic focuses on support, healing, protection, radiant power, and information gathering.
- Sight Strain
When When you expend a Prophecy Die
Your prophetic power carries a terrible cost. Whenever you expend a Prophecy Die, roll a d6. On a 1, mark one Sight Strain. You can have up to three Sight Strain. At three, you are Overwhelmed until you finish a short or long rest, suffering disadvantage when resisting supernatural visions, illusions, or mental influence, and the GM may show you an intrusive omen at an inconvenient moment.
- Oath of Celibacy
When When you knowingly break your sworn oracle's oath
Your oracle's oath forbids sexual intimacy. If you knowingly break the oath, the curse begins to take hold, causing prophetic madness and slowly killing you unless the curse is removed through a major quest, divine intervention, or another consequence approved by the GM. The oath does not prevent affection, friendship, or loving nonsexual bonds.
- TraitHumanSight Beyond the Mist, allowing Rachel to perceive supernatural beings, divine signs, and magical deceptions hidden from ordinary mortals.

Appearance
Wild green eyes that seem focused on something no one else can see, long red hair usually tied back with paint-stained ribbons, a lean athletic frame, and practical traveling clothes beneath a dark, paint-spattered cloak. She carries a weathered satchel of pigments, brushes, prophetic canvases, and a bronze knife concealed at her belt.
Mannerisms
She pauses before answering as though listening to someone standing just out of sight. When visions press close, she smears paint across her fingers or traces invisible shapes in the air.
Personality
Bold, perceptive, and fiercely compassionate. Rachel speaks with blunt confidence when others hesitate, but becomes quiet and distant when a vision reminds her that courage does not guarantee survival. She has a painter's eye for detail and a rebel's instinct for rejecting any authority that demands obedience without explanation.
Ideals
Foresight. The future is not a sentence. Every warning is an opportunity to protect someone, expose a lie, or choose a better path.
Bonds
I have seen ____ die in a vision, and I will defy that future even if it costs me everything. I trust ____ to remind me that the present is real when prophecy threatens to swallow me. I owe ____ a truth I have painted but still cannot bring myself to speak aloud.
Flaws
Rachel is haunted by the possibility that her prophecies cause the disasters they describe. She can be reckless when trying to prevent a foretold tragedy, and she hides her fear behind sarcasm, defiance, and artistic obsession.
Quirks
Background
Rachel Elisabeth Dare was one of the rare mortals able to see through the Mist, the veil that hid the divine and monstrous world from ordinary human eyes. During the Titan War, that sight made her a witness to horrors no mortal should have understood, but it also let her recognize truths that gods and heroes overlooked. When the war ended, Apollo's blessing passed through her, marking her as an oracle and binding her to a power that did not feel entirely like a gift. The blessing announced itself with a prophecy. Rachel spoke of a darkness beyond the war, of broken boundaries and conflict still gathering beneath the world's fragile peace. Since then, visions have come without warning. She paints what she sees because images are easier to survive than words, though she often cannot bear to look at the finished canvases. Each painting feels like a door left open to a future she desperately hopes can be avoided. As the Oracle, Rachel swore an oath of celibacy. If she breaks it, the oath will curse her to madness and kill her slowly. She refuses to let fear turn her into a prisoner, so she travels with ____ and the others, searching for a way to protect the present without surrendering to the future. At seventeen, she dreads the darkness she foretold, but she dreads standing alone against it even more.
