Appearance
Nimbostair is a striking wood elf with skin the tone of sun-drenched oak and eyes the vibrant green of new spring growth. His hair is thick and wild, tangled with bits of moss, dry leaves, and small bird feathers that he refuses to brush out. He typically wears cured leather armor that looks like it was grown rather than stitched, and he carries a shield made from the calcified shell of a giant turtle.
Mannerisms
He frequently scratches the back of his hand and tends to pace back and forth like a caged beast when indoors.
Personality
He is more comfortable listening to the rustle of leaves than the chatter of a tavern. Nimbostair often communicates in short, clipped sentences and tends to tilt his head like a curious predator when listening to someone speak. He finds social etiquette confusing and unnecessary, preferring the directness of the natural world.
Ideals
Change. Life is like the seasons, ever changing and moving forward. We must adapt or perish.
Bonds
My clan is my family, but the forest is my soul. I will suffer no one who brings blight to the ancient groves.
Flaws
I am prone to bouts of feral rage when I see nature being mistreated. I often forget that people have feelings and treat them like simple animals.
Quirks
Background
Nimbostair was born under the boughs of the High Forest, raised by a nomadic circle of druids who taught him that every stone and stream has a heartbeat. His youth was spent patrolling the borders of the wild, where he developed a deep resentment for the way city dwellers carve into the earth without giving anything back. He never fit the traditional mold of elven grace, finding more joy in the dirt and the damp of the forest floor than in the high halls of his people. Following a series of vivid dreams where a Great Bear called him toward the southern wastes, he packed his meager belongings and struck out on his own. He wanders the land as a guardian of the balance, using his primal magic to ensure that the encroaching greed of civilization does not consume the natural wonders of the world. While he misses the comfort of his home grove, he knows that his path lies in the open wilderness where the law of the hunt remains supreme.
