Appearance
Gorak is a male orc standing just over six feet tall, built from solid muscle and bone. His muted, earthy green skin is marked by old scars from countless battles. He has a broad face, square jaw, prominent upper tusks, deep amber eyes, a jagged scar across his nose, and another along his collarbone. His hair is cropped close in a military buzz cut. In casual settings he wears a dark gray shirt, fitted black jacket, reinforced cargo pants, and heavy combat boots. In the field he wears a matte black tactical vest, reinforced clothing, gloves, headset, and practical mission gear. His traditional ranger equipment is cosmetically represented by modern firearms and tactical tools.
Mannerisms
Gorak checks exits, sightlines, and the condition of nearby weapons whenever he enters a room. He speaks in short, measured sentences and rarely repeats himself. Before a mission, he taps two fingers against his silver ring, then silently counts the people present.
Personality
Gorak is blunt, direct, disciplined, and intensely grounded in physical reality. He speaks little and prefers decisive action to speeches. He respects competence above charm and views empty boasting or performative cruelty as signs of weakness. Slow to trust, he becomes immovable once loyalty has been earned. He does not fear death, but he respects it, and he refuses to waste the lives of people under his protection.
Ideals
Purpose. Strength means nothing without discipline. Gorak fights to protect the people who rely on him and to ensure that no soldier under his command is discarded as expendable.
Bonds
The Stalker unit is the only family Gorak has left, and he will not abandon one of its members while he still draws breath.
Flaws
Gorak has difficulty accepting help and interprets hesitation as a possible threat. Nyx's capture and the resulting psionic trauma left him afraid that some part of his mind is no longer entirely his own. When under pressure, he becomes controlling, isolates himself, and may choose the most dangerous path simply because it is the one he understands.
Quirks
Background
Gorak was born among an orc warband that valued endurance above ceremony. He learned early that survival depended on reading terrain, weather, and the movement of enemies before a battle ever began. His strength made him a formidable front-line fighter, but his patience and sharp amber gaze made him an even better scout. He eventually joined the Iron Fist mercenary group, where he served as a tracker, marksman, and field commander. Gorak became known for ending fights quickly and for bringing wounded soldiers home when others would have abandoned them.
