Appearance
Mo'gar is a massive, broad-shouldered orc with gray-green skin, a heavy brow, tusks worn smooth from years of chewing leather cords, and large, gentle brown eyes. His black hair is kept in a practical braid tied with bits of colored yarn from his child's old toys. He wears patched work clothes beneath sturdy traveling gear, with a faded red sash from his family's warrior tradition wrapped around his waist. Despite his intimidating size, his hands are careful and calloused from farming, mending fences, and tending livestock.
Mannerisms
Mo'gar speaks slowly and carefully, often pausing to make sure his words sound gentler than his intimidating voice. He lowers his head when entering small rooms, kneels when speaking to children, and automatically checks doors, fences, and animal pens whenever he arrives somewhere new.
Personality
Mo'gar is gentle, patient, and deeply practical. He prefers tending animals, repairing tools, and listening to others over boasting or fighting. He is protective without being controlling, and he has a dry sense of humor that emerges when people underestimate how much he notices. Around his family he is warm and playful, often allowing Gorgug to climb onto his shoulders while he pretends the child is impossibly heavy.
Ideals
Strength exists to shelter the vulnerable, not to make the strong feel important. A peaceful life is not a lesser life.
Bonds
Na and Gorgug are the center of Mo'gar's life. He will endure almost anything to keep his family safe and to give Gorgug the peaceful childhood he never had. He also feels responsible for the animals and neighbors who have come to trust him.
Flaws
Mo'gar avoids conflict so strongly that he sometimes waits too long to act, even when someone is clearly being mistreated. He is deeply insecure about disappointing his family and may overreact when someone suggests he is weak or cowardly. He also has little patience for those who harm animals for amusement.
Quirks
Background
Mo'gar was raised in the Maw family, a proud orcish line famous for producing fearless fighters. From the time he could walk, his father trained him to roar, wrestle, and swing a weapon. Everyone expected Mo'gar to inherit the family legacy, but the violence never fit him. He was enormous even by orcish standards, yet he could not bring himself to hurt a butterfly. When his relatives praised his strength, Mo'gar only wondered whether strength might be used to protect rather than conquer. Once he was old enough to choose his own path, Mo'gar left the family behind and moved to the Dalelands with his wife, Na, and their young son, Gorgug. He became a farmer, raising crops and caring for animals on a quiet plot outside town. The villagers first regarded him with suspicion, but that changed when Mo'gar defended them from raiders and carried an injured child safely through a burning barn. Now he is a beloved, somewhat secluded folk hero. He prefers peaceful work, warm meals, and the company of his family, but when danger threatens his home, the old warrior training awakens beneath the farmer's patience.
