Wren has advantage on Dexterity saving throws against effects he can see, such as traps and spells. He does not gain this benefit while Blinded, Deafened, or Incapacitated.
- Berserker SubclassLevel 3
Wren chooses the Path of the Berserker. His rage is a deliberate, terrifying expression of protective fury rather than an uncontrolled loss of judgment.

- Instinctive PounceLevel 7
Wren has advantage on Initiative rolls. If he is surprised at the start of combat but is not Incapacitated, he can act normally by spending a use of Rage when the combat begins.

Appearance
Wren is a broad-shouldered orc with iron-gray skin, a heavy jaw, and long black hair tied into a practical knot at the nape of his neck. His lower tusks are capped with small bands of dark bronze, a quiet sign of his tribe's craftsmanship. He stands with most of his weight settled on the balls of his feet, always balanced as if expecting trouble, and he rarely leans against walls or furniture. His armor is functional scale mail reinforced with leather straps, marked with faded sanctuary emblems rather than trophies. His expression is usually calm and watchful, but when he laughs, his entire jaw opens in a startling flash of tusks.
Mannerisms
Wren surveys every room by checking exits, high ground, and the nearest person who looks frightened. When waiting, he plants his feet in a wide, balanced stance and rests one hand lightly on his weapon rather than leaning. He speaks in short, precise sentences, and his voice becomes quieter, not louder, when he is angry.
Personality
Stoic, strong, steadfast, and tactical. Wren rarely wastes words, but he notices everything around him, especially who is being ignored or pushed aside. He respects competence more than rank, courage more than confidence, and people who protect others without expecting praise. His anger is cold until someone preys on the helpless, at which point his restraint becomes frighteningly focused.
Ideals
Strength exists to shelter the vulnerable, not to place them beneath a stronger hand. Wren will tear down any system that demands obedience as the price of safety.
Bonds
The sanctuary that raised Wren is his true home, and Lumiko is the person whose safety matters more to him than his own. He will risk almost anything to protect displaced people from soldiers, slavers, and nobles who treat lives as property.
Flaws
Wren assumes that anyone who speaks politely about order, tradition, or civilization is preparing to exploit someone weaker. He can become dangerously inflexible when a plan requires trusting a noble, officer, or authority figure. He also believes he must personally remain strong enough to protect everyone, and he reacts poorly when others point out that this belief is slowly isolating him.
Quirks
Background
Wren Mayweather was found as an infant in the aftermath of a border raid, wrapped in a torn military banner beside his younger sister, Lumiko. The two children were taken in by a tribe of orcs, deserters, refugees, and other outcasts who had made a sanctuary in a deep ravine far from the roads of kings. The tribe did not teach conquest. It taught watch rotations, crop defense, evacuation routes, and the stern discipline of putting oneself between danger and those who could not withstand it. Wren grew into the tribe's strongest shield and most methodical battlefield planner, while Lumiko became its healer, mapmaker, and keeper of old stories. As a young adult, Wren served as a soldier during several desperate defenses against raiders, tax collectors, and nobles seeking to seize the sanctuary's land. He learned that rage could be a weapon, but only when aimed with purpose. His fury is not wild for its own sake. It is the controlled violence of a gate slamming shut before an enemy reaches a child. Now Wren travels beyond the sanctuary to disrupt the alliances and ambitions that keep the region trapped in cycles of conquest. He wants no throne and trusts no banner. His dream is to make power too costly to use against the helpless, then return home to help build a peace that does not depend on one warrior standing watch forever.
