Appearance
Caelum is a slender, androgynous-looking aasimar with warm bronze skin, pale gold eyes, and long silver-white hair usually tied back with a blue cord. A faint golden radiance gathers around their face when they pray, while Lyra's presence causes that glow to shift toward silver. Caelum wears well-maintained chain mail beneath white and deep-blue vestments, carries a polished shield marked with a two-toned sunburst, and keeps a small collection of forged religious credentials hidden among their belongings.
Mannerisms
Caelum speaks carefully and keeps both hands folded around their holy symbol when anxious. Lyra tilts the head, leans too close during conversations, and smiles when danger appears. Caelum's voice is soft and measured, while Lyra's is brighter, quicker, and more expressive. They occasionally pause mid-sentence as if listening to someone standing just out of sight.
Personality
Caelum is calm, gentle, patient, and deeply protective of both strangers and Lyra. They prefer negotiation, healing, and careful observation over violence. Lyra is playful, confident, curious, sarcastic, and affectionate toward those she trusts. She loves new places and has little patience for pompous priests or dishonest officials. The two personalities sometimes argue aloud, but their disagreements usually conceal a deep loyalty and a shared determination to keep one another safe.
Ideals
Protection. Divine power is not a privilege or a weapon of authority. It is a responsibility to shelter the vulnerable and give people the chance to become better than their worst actions.
Bonds
Caelum is bound to Lyra, whom they regard as a sister and equal rather than a curse to be removed. They also remain loyal to the temple that raised them, despite the fear and suspicion some priests showed toward their divided nature. Caelum carries a fragment of the temple's damaged holy relic and hopes to discover why the cult that attacked it wanted the object so badly.
Flaws
Caelum is terrified of losing control and hurting someone innocent, so they hesitate at crucial moments and often accept blame that is not entirely theirs. They are too willing to forgive those who manipulate them, especially when Lyra warns them not to. Lyra, in turn, can be reckless, vindictive, and dangerously quick to answer an insult with radiant fire.

Background
Caelum was born beneath a sky filled with strange golden stars. Their mother claimed that warm light filled the room at the moment of birth, followed by a whisper that everyone heard, saying, "Two paths. One soul." From childhood, Caelum sensed a divine presence watching over them. They also spoke with Lyra, a confident, curious, and reckless girl whom the family first dismissed as an imaginary friend. In time, Caelum understood that Lyra was not an angel or a ghost, but another self sharing the same body and soul. Caelum became the quiet, dutiful one, devoted to scripture, healing, and patient diplomacy. Lyra was the daring one, sneaking into kitchens, talking to strangers, and questioning every solemn temple rule. Neither could imagine life without the other.
