Appearance
Mireya is a slender wood elf with warm brown skin, round dark eyes, and thick black hair braided with bits of green thread, tiny shells, and dried leaves. Her pointed ears are modestly adorned with copper hoops. She wears weathered leather armor beneath a moss-green traveling cloak, carries a polished wooden shield, and keeps her smile ready even when her hands are not. Her features are gentle and youthful, but her eyes have the alert patience of someone who notices every exit.
Mannerisms
Mireya tilts her head as if listening to distant birds whenever someone tells her something important. She smooths the edge of her shield before making a difficult decision, and she often answers direct questions with a question wrapped in a soft smile.
Personality
Mireya is warm, observant, and socially agile. She makes strangers feel as though they have known her for years, remembers small details about everyone she meets, and prefers clever misdirection to open confrontation. Beneath her easy charm is a serious, watchful healer who becomes fiercely focused when someone vulnerable is threatened.
Ideals
Mercy should be practical. If a lie can prevent harm, preserve a life, or give someone the courage to choose wisely, then the lie has served the truth.
Bonds
I owe my life and my druidic training to Balo, and I will find him if he has vanished into the deep forest. I also carry a sealed vial of river water from the settlement where the fever began, waiting for the day I can prove what truly happened.
Flaws
Mireya lies reflexively, even when the truth would be simpler and safer. She has a hard time accepting kindness without wondering what the other person wants in return, and she sometimes protects a failing deception long after it has stopped being useful.
Quirks
Background
Mireya grew up among a woodland elven caravan that moved between isolated villages, forest markets, and river crossings. Her family traded salves, woven charms, and stories, though not every charm worked as advertised. Mireya learned early that a confident voice could make a harmless herb seem rare, and that people were often more willing to accept help when it came wrapped in a little mystery. Her favorite performances were never cruel. She used false names to expose greedy merchants, redirect hunters away from nesting grounds, and persuade frightened villagers that an injured animal was a sacred omen rather than a nuisance. When a fever swept through a riverside settlement, Mireya's family's remedies failed to stop it. An elderly druid named Balo found her sorting leaves by scent and taught her to listen to the living world instead of merely imitating its language. Mireya became an apprentice, learning Druidic, the rhythms of weather, and the quiet responsibilities of healing. She still travels under the name Nalia when deception is useful, posing as a minor healer, fortune-teller, or courier. Beneath every disguise, she is searching for the source of the fever that once humbled her family, determined to learn whether it was natural, magical, or deliberately spread.
