Appearance
Shiria is a six-foot-tall human woman with a broad, powerful frame shaped by years of military training and close-quarters combat. Her warm olive skin is marked by old scars, most notably a jagged silver line descending along her left cheek. She has dark storm-gray eyes, a strong angular face, high cheekbones, and a severe undercut with the longer dark section pulled into a tight ponytail. In casual settings she wears a charcoal turtleneck, reinforced dark jeans, a silver watch, and heavy black tactical boots. On duty she wears matte-black compound security armor over a flexible bodysuit, reinforced cargo trousers, tactical gloves, silent-soled boots, and a communications headset. Her preferred weapons are a suppressed pistol, compact submachine gun, combat knife, and whatever battlefield tool best suits the mission.
Mannerisms
Shiria scans every room before sitting, keeps her back to a wall whenever possible, and checks exits without appearing to do so. She speaks in short, precise sentences and uses people's names only when she wants their full attention. When irritated, she taps two fingers against the face of her silver watch.
Personality
Shiria is disciplined, pragmatic, and intensely loyal once trust has been earned. She values direct action over speeches, preparation over talent, and improvement over excuses. She respects competence more than status and has little patience for wasted motion, empty boasts, or people who confuse confidence with courage. Beneath her severe exterior is a protective instinct that extends to anyone she believes has been abandoned by stronger people.
Ideals
Duty. Protection is not a promise made in speeches. It is the decision to stand in the doorway when everyone else is looking for an exit.
Bonds
The soldiers and civilians who survived her last failed operation still depend on her protection. She keeps their names recorded in the back of her field journal and considers every mission a chance to repay the debt she owes them.
Flaws
Shiria is slow to forgive betrayal and often assumes that hesitation hides cowardice. She can become controlling when others refuse her plans, and she has a dangerous tendency to treat every problem as a tactical situation that can be solved through pressure, preparation, or force. Her loyalty is absolute once earned, but earning it is deliberately difficult.
Quirks
Background
Shiria was born in a hard-edged industrial district where survival depended on discipline, awareness, and knowing when to move before trouble arrived. She enlisted young and distinguished herself through relentless preparation rather than natural charm. Her unit specialized in high-risk extractions, convoy security, and compound defense, and Shiria became the person commanders placed where a line was most likely to break. The scar on her cheek came from a failed evacuation in which an officer abandoned civilians to save his own reputation. Shiria survived, but she never forgot the sound of the people left behind.
