Tarrik is a tiefling of striking, orderly features. His skin is the color of old parchment, and his horns are swept back in symmetrical, polished curves. He wears charcoal-colored scholarly robes trimmed with fine leather armor. His eyes are solid orbs of glowing amber, and he always smells faintly of ozone and expensive ink.

He is intensely articulate and deeply condescending. He treats every conversation as a lecture and every companion as a student who is likely to fail. He values efficiency, logic, and hierarchy above all else. He never raises his voice, as he finds shouting to be the refuge of the intellectually bankrupt.

Tarrik spent his youth in the Great Library of Silverymoon, obsessively cataloging forbidden texts regarding the Lower Planes. While his peers sought wisdom to better the world, Tarrik sought the underlying laws of reality to better control it. He believed that if he could map the bureaucracy of the Hells, he could command a position within it. During his research into his own ancestry, he discovered a cipher hidden within his family tree that acted as a bridge to a powerful pit fiend named Malphas. Unlike most who stumble into pacts out of desperation, Tarrik entered his bargain with cold, clinical intent. He exchanged his service as an agent of cosmic order for the raw power needed to purge chaos from the world. He now travels the realms not to seek adventure, but to acquire the remaining fragments of a lost cosmological theory that he believes will grant him authority over the lesser minds of the material plane.
