Appearance
Julian is a man in his early fifties with a stature that remains lean and lithe despite his age. His hair and neatly trimmed beard are a distinguished salt and pepper. He wears a set of well kept but understated charcoal gray gentleman's clothes, consisting of a reinforced overcoat and a silk cravat. He leans slightly on a heavy wooden cane, though he carries himself with the quiet grace of a predator.
Mannerisms
He frequently pauses to look at the horizon as if checking for incoming weather, a habit from his time at sea.
Personality
He is a man of few words, choosing instead to let his actions or his silence speak for him. There is a weary kindness in his eyes, but it is layered over a core of cold, calculating iron. He has the patience of a fisherman and the sharp mind of a master deceiver, often manipulating conversations without the other person realizing it until long after he has left.
Ideals
Restitution. One cannot change the past, but one can certainly ensure that the future is less bloody because of their actions.
Bonds
I feel responsible for the crimes of The Reprisal. Every drop of blood they shed is a debt I must repay.
Flaws
I struggle to trust even those who deserve it, fearing that everyone eventually has a price for their loyalty.

Background
Born in the mud of Port Damali, Julian mastered the art of the lie before he mastered the use of a fork. He founded The Reprisal with other orphans, envisioning a gang that protected its own. They were a family until the Myriad arrived. To save his friends, Julian infiltrated the rival cell and murdered their leader in cold blood, a deed that stained his soul but secured their safety. He expected his brothers to be horrified, but instead, they saw his kill as a ladder to greater power within the Myriad. Broken by their greed, Julian walked away. He spent ten years as a simple fisherman in a quiet cove, hoping the salt water would wash away the blood. But as reports of The Reprisal's growing cruelty reached his ears, he realized his retirement was a luxury he could no longer afford. He took his weighted cane and the blade hidden within it and set out to dismantle the monster he unintentionally helped create. He does not seek redemption, only a way to ensure his former family causes no more harm.
