Appearance
Raphael is a tall man with sharp, northern features. His hair is the color of frost, and his eyes are a piercing, frozen blue. He wears blackened plate armor that seems almost part of his body. He sits with unnatural stillness, his hands resting on the pommel of a massive bastard sword.
Mannerisms
Raphael maintains constant eye contact when someone is speaking to him, never blinking. He speaks in a low, resonant tone that sounds like stones grinding together.
Personality
Raphael is the personification of stoicism. He does not speak unless the words are vital, and his voice carries the weight of a glacier. He moves with a quiet, lethal precision, viewing every motion through the lens of tactical necessity. His presence is calming yet deeply intimidating.
Ideals
Loyalty is the only law that survives the passage of time. The duty of the strong is to be the foundation upon which others build.
Bonds
My sword belongs to a throne that no longer has a king, but the vow remains unbroken. I carry the memory of Sylvia like a ghost I cannot touch.
Flaws
I have forgotten how to be a man and have become merely a weapon. I cannot process emotions that do not serve the mission.

Background
Raphael Valecor was born to lead but chose to serve. When the throne of the Northern Valley Kingdom was offered to him, he saw a better future in his companion's hands. He placed the crown on his brother-in-arms and stepped into the shadow of the throne as its shield. For years, he was the silent architect of the kingdom's peace. His life was defined by the clatter of steel and the heavy weight of a crown he never wore. His only soft spot was for Sylvia, a woman of the court, but even that warmth was eventually smothered by the frost of his duties. When the king vanished during the Great Shaking, Raphael did not chase the crown or the glory. He walked to the stone chair beside the dais and sat down. He made a vow to remain until his king returned. Centuries have passed, and the world has forgotten the king's name, but they remember the Stone Knight who refuses to die and refuses to move. Now, something has finally stirred the ancient warrior from his vigil, a call that resonates with the ancient runes of his blade.
“When the throne of the Northern Valley Kingdom was offered to him, he saw a better future in his companion's hands.”
