Kallista is a tiefling with skin the color of burnished copper and two long, sleek horns that curve backward over her scalp. She wears clean, white and gold acolyte robes over her leather armor, though the hem is often stained with soot. Her eyes are solid amber and glow faintly when she is agitated.

Kallista is soft spoken and perpetually smells of frankincense. She attempts to remain calm and pious, masking her internal turmoil with the practiced mannerisms of a priestess. Despite her infernal origins, she is deeply compassionate and feels a profound responsibility to use her dark gifts for the preservation of beauty.

Raised within the Temple of the Everlasting Doll, a sanctuary of Sune, Kallista was never treated as a monster by the clergy. She spent her youth tending to sacred gardens and polishing icons, convinced that her blood was a test of character rather than a sentence to evil. However, her faith was challenged when a violent cult attacked the temple, and the divine light she prayed to did not answer her desperate pleas. In the smoking ruins of the library, she found a tome that spoke back, offering the strength to protect her home in exchange for a portion of her soul. Kallista accepted the deal with an infernal minor prince, viewing it as a necessary sacrifice. She managed to repel the attackers, but the contact left her marked by flickering orange flames and a presence in her mind that was certainly not divine. She now travels the world as a wandering acolyte, attempting to prove that the source of one's power matters less than the intent of the wielder. She seeks to do enough good to outweigh the debt she owes the pit.
