Appearance
Standing only two and a half feet tall, Zindarel is an exceptionally small Aasimar with the mischievous proportions of a halfling. His skin has a pale golden hue, punctuated by shimmering gold dragon scales that trace along his jawline and forearms. His eyes glow with the soft warmth of a hearth fire, and his silver-gold hair is often styled in a chaotic mess. He wears dark, form-fitting thief's leathers layered over vibrant silks of crimson and gold.
Mannerisms
Zindarel rarely stands still, shifting his weight and bouncing on the balls of his feet. He speaks with a rapid-fire cadence and often winks when telling a secret, even if it is not a secret at all.
Personality
Zindarel is a whirlwind of jokes, puns, and playful energy. He believes that the greatest tragedy in life is taking oneself too seriously. While he was raised in the shadows of the criminal underworld, he has a heart of pure gold and rarely steals from anyone who isn't an insufferable prick. He is quick to laugh and even quicker to cast a spell if it means the resulting explosion will look spectacular or humiliate a bully.
Ideals
Humor is the only way to endure a world full of darkness, and everyone deserves a good laugh at a tyrant's expense.
Bonds
I carry a golden scale that supposedly came from an avatar of Hlal. It is my most prized possession and the source of my confidence.
Flaws
I cannot resist a dare or the opportunity to humiliate someone who acts superior to me, even when it is dangerously stupid.

Background
Born to human parents in a cramped tenement district, Zindarel was initially thought to be a halfling with a rare skin condition. As he grew, the golden scales and glowing eyes revealed his celestial heritage, while his internal magic began to manifest as spontaneous fires and illusory dragon shapes. He was taken in by a guild of street performers and pickpockets who valued his small size for scouting. It was during a botched heist in a temple library that he discovered the texts of Hlal, the draconic goddess of humor. He realized then that his scales were not a curse, but a blessing from the Copper Jester of the dragons herself. Rejecting the cold cruelty of the thieves' guild, Zindarel began using his talents to play pranks on corrupt city officials and greedy merchants. He views his life as one long joke told to the universe, with the divine fire in his veins acting as the punchline. He travels now to find more grand stages for his tricks, hoping to prove that heroes don't need to be seven feet tall to leave a massive impact. His small stature allows him to go unnoticed in the shadows, but his golden magic ensures he is the center of attention once the fireworks begin.
