Appearance
Aliasa is a tall, powerfully built human woman with sun-bright blond hair shaved into a sharp mohawk. Blue warpaint runs from her temples toward her jaw in clean, wave-like strokes, refreshed before every battle or performance. She wears a lake-blue Viking-style dress over sturdy traveling clothes, with leather armor fitted beneath the bodice and a weather-darkened cloak pinned at one shoulder. Her clothes are visibly repaired, but her lute is immaculate, its pale wood polished and its blue-dyed strings carefully replaced. She stands close when speaking, laughs loudly, and moves with the confidence of someone who expects a crowded room to make space for her.
Mannerisms
Aliasa plants her feet wide when telling a story and punctuates important points by plucking a single lute string. She leans close enough to make strangers blush, then grins as if she has won a contest. Before combat, she taps the rim of her lute three times and quietly names the lake where she learned the song she is about to play.
Personality
Aliasa is warm, bold, physically expressive, and impossible to ignore. She treats strangers like friends until they prove themselves cruel, gives compliments with shameless precision, and turns nearly every conversation into a playful contest. She is an experienced traveler who notices changes in weather, animal behavior, and people’s moods, though she often disguises keen observation beneath teasing banter. When danger appears, her humor becomes focused rather than frantic, and her voice carries the calm authority of someone who has guided others through blizzards and raids.
Ideals
Freedom. No chief, king, spirit, or prophecy owns another person’s fate. People should be allowed to choose their own road, even when that choice is dangerous.
Bonds
The Bluescar tribe is her family, and she will cross any wilderness to answer their call. She also carries a blue-glass pendant taken from the shore of her childhood lake, where an entire season of her tribe’s hunting grounds was swallowed by unnatural winter. She intends to discover what caused it and reclaim the lake for her people.
Flaws
Aliasa flirts when she should negotiate, boasts when she should listen, and treats retreat as a personal insult. She cannot resist answering a challenge, especially if someone questions her courage or the worth of her tribe. Beneath her swagger is a deep fear that she is only valuable while she is entertaining, useful, or winning.
Quirks
Background
Aliasa of the Lake was born among the Bluescar tribe, a human people who followed the long shores and cold rivers of the northern wilds. Her mother taught her the old rowing songs, her uncle taught her the bow, and the tribe’s storytellers taught her that a song was not merely entertainment. It was a promise remembered, a warning carried farther than a horn, and sometimes the only thing standing between frightened people and panic. Aliasa grew into all three lessons at once, becoming a scout, archer, and performer whose bright laughter could be heard across a frozen lake.
“It was a promise remembered, a warning carried farther than a horn, and sometimes the only thing standing between frightened people and panic.”
