The Brassroot Conclave
The Brassroot Conclave began as a neighborhood mutual-aid ring. After successfully defending a lower Dura block from a lethal leak and exposing a corrupt loan scheme run by a minor noble, the Conclave adopted a growing political edge. They moved from relief to targeted sabotage, replacing exploitative formal employment with community-managed cooperatives and stealing proprietary designs to create open-source artifice. The consignment interception that broke the myth of House invulnerability earned them a branded symbol across the low wards. Cannith retaliations led to arrests, betrayals, and the loss of a key foundry that served as a forward base. In response they retreated deeper into Old Sharn and restructured as a tighter cell network. Recently they have expanded their focus from local relief to city-wide strategy - gathering evidence of collusion between dragonmarked houses and city officials, and developing technologies aimed at undermining exploitative automation. The Conclave remains small but highly effective within Lower Dura, known to some as heroic saboteurs and to others as dangerous insurgents.
