The Coalition of the Salt-Veins - AI-generated fantasy Faction

The Coalition of the Salt-Veins

Founded six decades ago during the Great Undead Tide. When a massive oceanic horde of undead threatened the Royal Charter's southern outposts, the Crown recalled its warships and governors, leaving thousands of indentured workers and minor merchants to perish. Instead of dying, the survivors formed a desperate flotilla under the leadership of a disgraced navigator. They fought back the horde and realized the Crown's law only existed when it was profitable. In a watershed moment known as the Day of Severance, they sent a single, blood-stained Royal flag back to the capital with a declaration of absolute autonomy. For sixty years, they have lived in the spray of the Uncharted Isles, surviving as a self-sufficient shadow-state that the Crown officially labels as pirates, but which the settlers call 'The Only True Home.'

Founder’s Story

Captain Elara Vance, a Royal Navigator who refused orders to abandon civilian transport ships during a storm, was the founder. She disobeyed the Crown, used her own vessel to guide the civilians to the volcanic safety of the 'Cinder Cays,' and formally burned her commission in front of the rescued families. She died twenty years ago, but her cutlass is still used to swear in new ship captains.

The Mechanism of Intent

Public Goals
  • Total independence from the Royal Charter's taxation and law
  • Establishment of safe trade routes between the independent islands
  • The protection of colonial settlers from Royal press-gangs
  • Self-sufficiency through sustainable island farming and fishing
  • Secret Goals
  • Locating the 'Temple of Souls,' a legendary submerged city that could provide a permanent, unassailable base
  • Infiltrating the Royal Charter's shipyards to sabotage the construction of their new heavy-ironclads
  • Establishing a secret currency based on pearls and rare corals to bypass the Crown's gold standard
  • Current Objectives
  • Intercept the Charter supply ship 'The Golden Leo' before it reaches the mainland
  • Establish a new outpost on the Isle of Whispers to monitor Charter naval movements
  • Recruit disgruntled sailors from the Royal Navy who are tired of the Soul Stone wars
  • Long-Term Vision

To transform the scattered islands of the Lost World into a recognized, sovereign maritime nation that thrives without the need for soul stones or imperial oversight.

    StructureDecentralized Nautical Confederacy
