Its story
Eight pounds of densely packed, faceted ley-crystal form a handspan-thick rod, its translucent green depths threaded with silver runes. When driven into suitable terrain, the runes shine like moonlight beneath water, and hair-thin lines of light spread through nearby stone, wood, or crystal like luminous roots.
Lore
In the deep region around the Verdant Heart, settlements cling to stable routes while the Nexus pulses beneath them. Leywrights fashioned these rods to hold a patch of ground fast when the surrounding world begins to slip. Some delvers say an activated anchor does not stop the deep from moving, it simply gives nearby creatures a moment to find their footing.
History
Verdaran leywrights shaped these anchors from crystal grown near the Verdant Heart Nexus. They were made for expeditions into caverns where tilted gravity and unstable spatial currents could tear travelers from safe routes. Few are carried beyond Verdara, and surviving examples are prized by delvers who venture near the Nexus.
