The Last Reaping

A massive scythe whose crescent blade appears permanently shattered. Its dark haft is wrapped in silver-white hide, while dozens of jagged fragments hover around the broken edge in a slow, silent orbit. Each shard is made of blue-black glacial crystal and leaves a trail of falling snow. When violence begins, the fragments snap together with the sound of a distant avalanche, reforming the blade into a flawless crescent of living ice. Outside battle, the weapon returns to its fractured state, as though reality itself cannot hold it together for long.
