The Reaper's Hand

The Reaper's Hand is an enormous two-handed war scythe formed from the same divine essence as Nerull's manifested body. Its twisted haft resembles fused bone, dark iron, and petrified sinew, with subtle skull motifs and worn funerary ornaments embedded beneath the surface. The impossibly large blade sweeps outward in a predatory curve, its blackened metal swallowing reflections. Near the junction of blade and haft rests a glowing violet gemstone, or perhaps a knot of compressed divine essence. Violet spectral energy constantly travels along the cutting edge as ghostlike strands resembling trapped souls dragged behind the weapon. Whenever the scythe moves, it leaves a broad translucent trail of purple death-energy, and nearby shadows lean toward it as though trying to escape.
