Kintaro's Mountain-Cleaver

This massive ironwood-handled greataxe is sized for a hero but balanced with uncanny grace. Its crescent blade is forged from dark mountain iron, veined with bands of warm gold that resemble the fur of a bear. A red cord wraps the haft, threaded with tiny bronze bells, and a carved bear's paw crowns the pommel. When held by a worthy bearer, the bells ring softly even in still air, and faint maple leaves swirl around the blade.
