Its story
Crownfall is a finely balanced greatsword with a dark steel blade that drinks in the light. The king's corrupted insignia is etched near the hilt, its once-proud crown warped into a jagged, downward-pointing mark. The pommel is shaped like a mountain peak crowned with tiny iron spires. Its grip is wrapped in worn black leather, and the weapon sits in the hand with uncanny steadiness.
Lore
In the mountain kingdom, the crowned peak once symbolized a ruler bound to protect the land below. The insignia on Crownfall tells a darker story: the crown has split, and its points turn inward. Some treasure hunters say the sword was named for the day the Eternal King fell; others believe it was meant to bring him down.
History
Forged for the Eternal King by his royal smiths, Crownfall was carried by the monarch's champion during the first revolt against the throne. After the king's insignia became corrupted, the blade was lost in the ruin of the royal mountain hall and eventually buried beneath the treasure hoard called The Fall of the Eternal King.
