Grunndrak, Oathcleaver of the Battle God

This enormous greataxe was forged from the first iron mined beneath a sacred mountain and quenched in the blood of a slain war-beast. Its adamantine edge bears three deep notches for the three ancient dwarven clans that swore allegiance beneath it. The haft is black ash reinforced with bands of gold, each band engraved with the name of a fallen clan champion. When its wielder enters a rage, the axe emits the sound of distant war drums and faint red light glows within the runes.
