A living twig of the world-root twists into a dark, polished scepter, its bark ridged like ancient stone and soft with moss along the grain. At its crown, a pulsing core-node ember glows through a lattice of fine roots, casting green-gold light over nearby surfaces. The scepter thrums faintly in the hand, like a heartbeat heard through soil after rain.

Verdara's Root-Sovereigns say the scepter does not command the Verdant Heart. It lends its bearer a moment of the Nexus's vast vitality, then draws that power back into the living roots. Its ember is believed to be a splinter of the Verdant Heart's own core-light.
History
Root-Sovereigns of Verdara shaped the first scepter around a core-node ember to help channel the Verdant Heart Nexus without severing its connection to the deep roots. It passed between guardians who defended the Nexus, and was carried into the upper jungle when leyline surges began to trouble the region.
