Dawnwound, the Sword of the Last Mercy

The Dawnwound is a two-handed greatsword with a blade of milky star-crystal and a fuller filled with slow-moving golden fire. Its crossguard resembles outstretched angel wings, while its grip is wrapped in white leather taken from a creature that willingly gave its life to save another. No forge marks mar the weapon. Instead, thousands of microscopic prayers shimmer across its surface whenever it is drawn. In darkness, the sword sheds bright light in a 60-foot radius and dim light for an additional 60 feet. Its radiance smells faintly of rain on stone and extinguished incense.
