The Fractured Winter

A greataxe that was shattered at the moment it slew a primordial frost titan. Its haft remains intact, but the blade is composed of dozens of floating shards made from ice, blue iron, black volcanic glass, and splinters of storm crystal. At rest, the weapon resembles a broken outline of a greataxe, with empty space between its pieces. When its wielder enters battle, the shards snap into alignment around the haft, forming a complete crescent blade of translucent blue-white crystal. Frost gathers along the edge, while fractures in the blade glow with restorative light.
