Battle God's Great Axe

This enormous dwarven greataxe has a crescent blade of star-dark adamant, edged in dull red metal that glows like banked coals whenever its wielder enters battle. The haft is a single petrified root wrapped in braided copper, leather, and the beards of ancient clan champions. Hundreds of tiny runes record victories, blood-oaths, and the names of dwarves who died facing impossible odds. When swung, the axe releases the sound of a distant war drum, and its blade briefly shines with the image of a horned dwarven battle god.
