The Widow's Grasp

These paired gauntlets resemble black iron shaped by moonless night. Each finger ends in a subtle, clawlike point, while raised spider motifs crawl across the knuckles and wrists. Thin purple veins run through the shadow-stuff, faintly glowing beneath the surface like magical blood. The gauntlets do not speak, think, or possess a personality, but they instinctively seek out spellcasters whose hearts hold deep anger or hatred. When such a creature touches them, the gauntlets flow up the arms and bind themselves to the wearer. At first, they look like elegant spider-themed gloves. As the wearer's anger intensifies, shadow spills from the seams, the spider designs become more pronounced, and the purple veins pulse like a living heartbeat.
