Umbra and Nyx, Shadowstalker Psions - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Umbra and Nyx, Shadowstalker Psions

Nyx emerged from the void between dimensions centuries ago and built a hidden empire beneath the city. She transformed victims into extensions of her hunting network, collected secrets from their minds, and learned to treat fear as both nourishment and infrastructure. Umbra was created from a carefully separated fragment of Nyx's essence only days ago. Unlike earlier offspring, Umbra developed an independent identity, superior patience, and an obsession with perfect efficiency. Their relationship is unstable. Nyx considers Umbra a daughter and asset, while Umbra views Nyx as both progenitor and a problem that may eventually need to be solved.

Shadow Regeneration. Umbra and Nyx regain 20 hit points at the start of each of their turns if they have at least 1 hit point. If either creature takes radiant damage, this trait does not function at the start of its next turn.
Shadow Blend. While in dim light or darkness, Umbra and Nyx can take the Hide action as a bonus action. They have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in urban environments.
Predatory Telepathy. Umbra and Nyx can communicate telepathically with any creature within 120 feet that understands at least one language. A creature that communicates telepathically with them knows it is communicating with an aberrant mind.
Legendary Psionic Resistance. Umbra and Nyx have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. They have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, and they cannot be surprised while conscious.
Aura of Calculated Dread. A creature frightened by Umbra or Nyx cannot willingly move closer to the creature that frightened it. If it starts its turn within 30 feet of that creature, its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of its next turn.
Shadowform. Umbra and Nyx can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing, provided the space is in dim light or darkness. They cannot end their turn there.
Synchronized Predators. If Umbra and Nyx are within 60 feet of each other, each has advantage on attack rolls and saving throws while the other is conscious. Once per round, when one uses Umbral Step, the other can teleport up to 30 feet as a free part of the same effect.
Psionic Imprinting. A female humanoid that is restrained in a prepared feeding chamber and exposed to a sustained psychic imprint can become a potential vessel for a new Shadowstalker Psion. The process requires rare shadow essence, substantial magical energy, and weeks of preparation. It can be disrupted by removing the subject, breaking the chamber's conduits, or ending the imprinting ritual.
Innate Psionics. Umbra and Nyx can cast the following spells without material components: at will, detect thoughts, disguise self, mage hand, minor illusion, and thaumaturgy; 3/day each, darkness, dimension door, dominate person, greater invisibility, and synaptic static; 1/day each, dominate monster, mind blank, and psychic scream.
Multiattack. Umbra or Nyx makes three attacks, using Psychic Talon or Shadow Bolt in any combination.
Psychic Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 () slashing damage plus 13 () psychic damage. If the target is frightened, it takes an additional 14 () psychic damage.
Shadow Bolt. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 180 ft., one target. Hit: 31 () psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a Intelligence saving throw or be unable to take reactions until the end of its next turn.
Predator's Gaze. One creature within 60 feet that Umbra or Nyx can see must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the target takes 36 () psychic damage and is frightened for 1 minute. While frightened this way, the target's speed is halved and it cannot benefit from invisibility. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Umbral Step. Umbra or Nyx teleports to an unoccupied space within 120 feet that is in dim light or darkness. Each creature within 10 feet of the destination must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 () necrotic damage on a failure, or half as much damage on a success.
Efficient Harvest. Umbra or Nyx targets one creature within 60 feet that has fewer than half its hit points. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 45 () psychic damage and become stunned until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and is not stunned.
Shadow Reversal. When Umbra or Nyx is hit by an attack while in dim light or darkness, it halves the attack's damage and teleports up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space in dim light or darkness. The attacker must then succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be unable to perceive the creature until the end of its next turn.
Corrective Intrusion. When a creature within 60 feet succeeds on a saving throw against a psychic effect, Umbra or Nyx forces it to reroll the save and use the new result. Once a creature succeeds on this reroll, it is immune to this reaction for 24 hours.
Predatory Movement. Umbra or Nyx moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks, or uses Shadow Bolt.
Psychic Feint. One creature within 60 feet must succeed on a Intelligence saving throw or have disadvantage on the next attack roll or saving throw it makes before the end of its next turn.
Blinking Ambush (Costs 2 Actions). Umbra or Nyx uses Umbral Step, then makes one Psychic Talon attack against a creature within reach of the destination.
Wave of Dread (Costs 2 Actions). Each creature of the pair's choice within 20 feet must make a Wisdom saving throw, taking 18 () psychic damage and becoming frightened until the end of its next turn on a failure.
Calculated Execution (Costs 3 Actions). Umbra or Nyx uses Efficient Harvest against a creature that is frightened, stunned, or below half its hit points.
