Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny piranha. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
False Appearance. While the swarm remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a pile of decorative crystals or a glass sculpture.
Aether Swimming. The swarm floats in the air as if it were water. It ignores difficult terrain caused by liquids.
Vitreous Nips. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 0 ft., one creature in the swarm's space. Hit: The target takes no damage, but it is subjected to the Crystalline Growth effect. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or gain 1 level of Vitrification. If the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer, the DC decreases to 9.
Vitrification (Effect). Level 1: The target's speed is reduced by 10 feet. Level 2: The target is Restrained as crystal binds their joints. Level 3: The target is Petrified (encased in solid crystal). A creature can use its action to make a Strength (Athletics) check, breaking the crystals off themselves or an adjacent ally and removing all levels of Vitrification. The effect also ends if the target receives any amount of Thunder damage or is targeted by a Shatter spell.
Refractive Shimmer. When a creature within 5 feet of the swarm misses it with a melee attack, the swarm flashes brilliantly. The attacker must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be Blinded until the end of its next turn.
