Cinder-Trail Lava Slug

Local miners call them 'living torches.' While a single slug is a nuisance, a migration of fifteen or more can create a temporary river of lava that can melt through a stone floor.

Heated Body. A creature that touches the slug or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 2 () fire damage.
Death Burst. When the slug dies, it explodes in a burst of lava. Each creature within 5 feet of it must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3 () fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Magma Trail. The slug leaves a 2.5-foot-wide trail of molten lava in its wake that lasts for 1 minute. Any creature that enters the trail or ends its turn there takes 1 fire damage. If 15 or more slugs are within 20 feet of each other, this damage increases to fire damage.
Water Susceptibility. If the slug is immersed in water, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be instantly Petrified, turning into a non-magical stone statue.
Sizzle. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 () fire damage.
